Our Mission and Goals
Our mission is to ensure that urban students have equal access to all educational opportunities. We believe we can accomplish this by providing the appropriate educational programs and services that will meet the fundamental demands of students residing in urban areas. We believe that all students can succeed when given the right opportunity and are provided a nurturing learning environment.
We also believe that all students can become independent, self-directed, life-long learners. We strive to bring together students, parents, communities, and educational institutions in an attempt to assist our students in realizing their dreams, and continuing on their chosen path toward academic success.
Our Goals for Academic Journey to Success:

- To ensure successfully completion collegiate toward a specified degree program.
- To enable urban students to be more competitive in the 21st technological job market.
- To retrain unemployed individuals for the workforce

- To enhance the artistic and aesthetic enrichment of urban students
Academic Journey to Success is looking into opening a learning center where our qualified professors will guide students to achieve success by further educating them in writing, reading, math, science and technology. Our classrooms will offer computer classes for Microsoft Office, Networking, Helpdesk, Training A+ certification classes and provide work study programs. Presently, our targeted area is New Jersey's urban areas in the North East. As the organization continues to grow we are looking to expand State-Wide, and eventually hope to become a 2-year college.
Our Program
Our program is currently going to help New Jersey urban students who frequently leaving high school and college due to financial hardship. As a result, some of these studeents end up on low-end jobs with no real career - advancement potential, welfare, in gangs, or involved in some type of illegal activity. we will work ot help alleviate these problems by providing these students with a work-study program in our Learning Center. Our program will be similar to an upward bound, college borund program. Our doors will be open to students living in urban areas because they are the ones that are the most unprepared for high school and college. Long term, we hope to start offering online classes so that students will have access to help 24 hours a day.
We also believe that all students can become independent, self-directed, life-long learners. We will prepare students living in urban areas for high school and college. Through our work, we will help them overcome the barriers that have prevented them from being properly prepared for high school and college life. Our qualified professors will guide students to achieve success by further educating them in writing, reading, math. science and technology. The Academic Journey to Success team will help students stay in high school, get into college, keep them there, help them graduate, and help them to transition into successful careers.
