Dr. Veronica Scott Sims

Doctoral degree from Argosy University (formerly The University of Sarasota) Dr. Sims has more than 30 years of business experience. She owned and operated her own business for 12 years until she decided to return to teaching. In addition to her teaching career, she is presently a partner in a family computer business and is CEO of Academic Journey to Success, a nonprofit organization who mission is to help graduate from college, those students living in urban areas.

Prior to owning her own business, she worked as a Housing Manager for the Federal Authority for 12 years, working with low-income families. She has also worked with at risk students for over 20 years. Dr. Sims holds an ED.D in Educational Leadership, MA.Ed in E-Education, B.A in English, and an AA in Elementary Education. She taught all grades levels from Elementary Ed and High School, and, for over 20 years. She has also taught in Higher Education for the past 9 years and in an online learning environment for the past 3 years. She loves teaching and believes that the key to her success is her ability to communication effectively with both adults and students.
